In Australia, there are 6 coins that has individually different price. It can be divided by their color. Color of 1 dollar coin and 2 dollars coin is gold. And the color of the other coin is silver.

For gold coin, the bigger the coin, the smaller the price. But for silver coin, the bigger the coin, the bigger the price.

This is 5 cents coin and 20 cents coin. In these coins, platypus is drawn on the front side of coins.


This is 10 cents coin, and 50 cents coin. In 50 cents coin, there are a kangaroo and a amu drawn on the front side.


In 1 dollar coin, there are kangaroos. And in 2 dollars coin, there is a aboriginal.


The common thing that all of Australian coins have is that in the back side of coins, there is a portrait of Elizabeth. And there are a lot of special edition of coins depending on which year that coins are made. Lastly, there is no 1 cent coin that when the price of item is 99 cents or 98 cents, you should pay 1 dollar.

Illegal drug problem in Australia

In recent time, Australia is doing war with drug, such as mariwhana, heroin, and ICE. Many people in Australia do drug, and recently a big event is held in the Australian football team. Almost all of the team members of football team do drug to enhance their ability in game. Because the result of doping test is not good, all of members who did drug were banned all of rest game of season. As a result, a lot of fans of that team and of the whole football are very frustrated by them. The manager of that team said that he didn`t know whether his players do drug, however, it cannot be justified.

 

In 2 or 3 years ago, there was a death of Korean woman in Australia. The cause of it was, as you know, the drug. But it was not common drug. As she is pharmacist, she make that drug by herself. It was very strong enough for her to totally enjoy, but it was also deadly for her health. She was found by another person dead while using drug.

 

As you can see in this example, drug problem is a major problem in Australia. The drug that is most dangerous is called ICE in Australia. Ice, or methylamphetamine, can appear initially to have positive effects – on your mood, energy and confidence. However, they can also have negative impacts on your mental and physical health, your relationships, and your life in general.

 

All of drug in Australia is illegal except for the case of medical use. As everyone know that the shoes hung on the string in front of a house means that the house sell drug, the selling and usage of drug in Australia is common. It should be changed and government also try hard to fight them. Now it`s your turn to try to avoid drug. You had better not be interested in drug anymore.

My profile and introduction

Hello! My name is Dave Kyeongdeuk An. I am from south korea, Hallym university. My major in my college is medicine. I am 20 years old and I live in suwon in south korea. And I have one younger sister.

 

In my collge, there are a lot of club like DUSA club, and I belong to 2 clubs. First one is soccer club named RC. RC means Red Card, and this club is very wonderful. My role in soccer club is defensive midfielder, and I think I am not in first team. But I did my best to be a key player, and I think one day I will be a good player in my club. Most interesting and major activity of soccer club is absolutely training activity. We have training twice a week. The time of training is usually in the morning. It is very cold when it is winter, but everyone in the club do one`s best!

 

Second club I`m in is the club searching korean medicine. In this club we are divided into 4 different groups and we search for other topics. I used to investigate about alternative korean medicine that can alternate western medicine. It is very closely related to my major. So I think to enter this club is totally great choice for me.

 

Lastly, I stay in Australia about 5 weeks. It can be very short time for foreign students in Deakin university. But, I will do my best to get something very unique in Australia with friends and study. I want to learn more about the way of speaking English.
